Jesus said: "You must love your neigbour as much as yourself". The disciples asked "Who is my neighbour, then?". And Jesus: "A man was wounded by robbers. An important man went by and left him without care. A Samaritan took care of him. Who was then the neighbour of the wounded man?".

Jesus zei: "Gij zult uw naaste liefhebben als uzelf". De leerlingen vroegen: "Wie is dan mijn naaste?". En Jesus: "Een man was neergeslagen door rovers. Een belangrijk man liep voorbij en liet hem liggen. Een Samaritaan ontfermde zich over hem. Wie was nu de naaste van de gewonde man?".

Jesus dixit: "Amate tantum vicinum quantum amatis vos ipsos". Discipuli rogaverunt: "Quis est vicinus meus?". Et dixit Jesus: "Inimici vulneraverunt hominem aliquem. Homo alter insignis transiit et reliquit eum. Samaritanus tamen venit et dedit eo caritatem. Quis erat vicinus suus?".
